Sobrato Early Academic Language (SEAL)

SEAL (Sobrato Early Academic Language) is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to advancing educational outcomes for English Learners and Multilingual Learners. We equip educators with research- and evidence-based tools that foster academic success and spark a lifelong love of learning.

EBC partnered with SEAL to support both the Merced County Office of Education and the Oakland Unified School District:

Merced County Office of Education

The Merced County Office of Education partnered with SEAL (Sobrato Early Academic Language) to provide job-embedded coaching support to educators across multiple districts in the county. Read more about this work here.

Oakland Unified School District

OUSD is partnering with SEAL to support educators and leaders at these three school sites to deepen the quality of their dual language programming and instruction. EBC’s funds are being used to support an OUSD staff person who is working closely with SEAL and the educators and administrators to ensure successful and sustainable implementation.
