Here at the EBC, we are dedicated to ensuring every young multilingual learner (MLL) receives a high-quality education in an inclusive and nurturing environment.
In California, where 60% of children from birth to five years old and 19% of K-12 students are multilingual learners, we believe that creating a supportive educational atmosphere that values these students is crucial. By focusing on the success of multilingual learners in the early grades, we aim to generate long-term benefits for all students, fostering a thriving and multilingual economy in California. Join us in our mission to empower young multilingual learners and cultivate a brighter future for all.
WELCOME to the emerging bilingual collaborative

Educator Preparation
We support local educator preparation pathways focused on building a diverse, multilingual educator workforce and preparing all educator candidates to serve young multilingual learners.
Educator DEVELOPMENT
We support coherent and sustainable professional development for PreK-3rd grade educators and administrators focused on high-quality instruction for multilingual learners in environments that value them.
