Developing Pathways for Expanded Learning Educators into Teaching

With support from EBC, the Expanded Learning Teacher Apprenticeship Pathway (FCCC EXL) created an educator apprenticeship program in collaboration with expanded learning program providers to create opportunities for expanded learning staff to begin teaching careers and effectively serve English Learners.

Additional resources developed to support the educators in this apprenticeship program and beyond include:

  • A community of practice with two community-based Expanded Learning providers, in collaboration with the National Center for Teacher Residencies.

  • The Multilingual Learner Training Project, which provided bite-sized module trainings to nearly 1000 educators.
